SERV - it's what we do
SERV Surrey was the first group to be established and came about in April 1981. Operating as SERV Surrey & South London from the control room at The Malden Centre off Blagdon Road, New Malden, KT3 4TA, the group serves hospitals in and around Surrey and south London. The group also collects blood, platelets and other required products, from the Tooting Blood Bank to be relayed by other SERV group members for delivery to hospitals in Kent and Sussex.
SERV Surrey & SL currently has over 80 active riders/drivers, some of whom also act as controllers (taking requests from the hospitals or other SERV groups).
If you are a qualified Advanced Rider/Driver, or you are willing to undertake advanced training with the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) or RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders then we need you.
If you would like to, you can work from our control room in New Malden, otherwise you can operate from home. You would be expected to be on call on a regular night each fortnight.
